Mindfulness

We often find that our bodies and minds are disconnected – we are doing something on auto-pilot and our minds are away into the future or stuck in the past. However, the past is no longer there, the future is not here yet – there is only one moment in which life is available and that is the present moment. When we practice mindfulness, we bring both body and mind back to the present moment, so that we do not miss our appointment with life.

The art of Qi Gong is a holistic system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial-arts training.

Martial Arts

Phil founded Kuroyaki Ryu to bring his love of Martial Arts to as many people as possible. He’s been teaching since the age of 14, having started aged 4 when his parents sent him hoping it would tame his hyperactivity.

We have regular classes in Japanese Ju-Jitsu and Thai Boxing, for children from the age of 5 through to adults. In our Bo’ness centre there are also Judo and Taekwon-Do classes.

Pause & Breathe run regular wellbeing retreats, which offer the perfect way to deepen into practice away from daily distractions. They have offered a variety of retreats in the past, often collaborating with other wellbeing practitioners. They have led retreats in a variety of locations, including the well-known, and well-loved, Lendrick Lodge and on the Isle of Mull.

1-2-1 Sessions

Susie facilitates one-to-one sessions, which are usually based on mindfulness coaching. This can be to tackle something specific - like anxiety - or more generally, how to bring mindfulness into daily life. These can also be for a family, a couple, or more than one person (ie: mother and daughter).

Susie provides a safe space to work through difficult emotions and to break unhelpful behavioural patterns.

Most organisations now know the importance of nourishing their staff’s wellbeing - stress and anxiety are on the rise, and burnout is an ever-present worry.
