Chair Yoga - 7-Week Block - Thursday Evening - Bonnybridge

Join us for Chair Yoga Sessions. Chair Yoga can really make movement more accessible, we don't need to worry about getting down onto the mat - we sit in a way that's comfortable for us. There will always be a range of options offered for every movement, so you can choose the one that best fits you.

All of my Chair Yoga sessions are underpinned by the theme of "self-acceptance" - learning to move with the body in accordance with our own abilities. We take time to really tune into our bodies - moving in a way that's right for us. There are no expectations that we can all move in the same way - you find the way that's right for you.

This 7-week block has the theme of "Spring Energy" - feeling into this new season, with the new beginnings that it brings us. During the block we'll share some tai Chi moves focusing on our liver and gallbladder - the organs that link with Spring, and some Qi Gong moves which focus on nourishing the wood element. Our fifth session has a longer rest practice contained. Audrey (Yoga with Audrey) is covering the last two sessions in this block, bringing a different style of chair yoga for you to try.

These sessions take place on Thursdays 6.15-7pm.

Meet Your facilitator:

Susie will be your facilitator for these sessions. Susie worked as a Social Worker within Criminal Justice for 20 years, and is passionate about helping people to make difficult changes. Since the beginning of 2017, Susie has been delivering mindfulness within her local community in Falkirk. She co-founded Pause & Breathe CIC with her husband, Phil Blackburn and is delighted to have opened The Place to Pause & Breathe in Bonnybridge and The Place for Martial Arts & Wellbeing in Bo'ness - bringing people together in community. Susie is a Mindfulness Coach and a certified Daring to Rest Facilitator. She is qualified to teach Qi Gong and Chair Yoga. Her approach is trauma-sensitive, and she is an advocate of giving participants choice in everything she offers.
