Hygge is a Scandinavian concept of creating a cosy, convivial atmosphere that promotes wellbeing. Think lots of cosy blankets, candles, soft music and a feeling of safety where you can let go into deep relaxation.
Join Morag from Sound Balance Scotland and Susie from Pause & Breathe for an cosy evening combining a Yoga Nidra meditation (no yoga postures involved) with a gentle sound bath. Susie and Morag run these events regularly allowing you to experience deep relaxation in a safe space.
Susie will start the evening with a deeply relaxing yoga nidra guided meditation ("yogic sleep"), preparing the way for a beautiful sound bath. There is nothing that you need to do - the invitation is to lie back and let the meditation wash over you.
After a very short break we will transition into a gentle, relaxing sound bath accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, gentle wind chimes, soothing Native American flutes and other magical sound healing instruments.
Both Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing practices embrace mindfulness - accepting what's going on in our bodies, mind and emotions without judgement - just being and going with the flow.
After the sound bath, there’s an invitation to stay for a hot drink and some cake – a chance to further unwind and relax.
Our session will be held on Sunday 3rd December from 7 to 9 pm at The Place to Pause & Breathe (FK4 2AT). It’s £25 to attend (£20 for concessions - please get in touch). If that feels too much just now, get in contact – we have some donation spaces available. Click here to book in.
