We have gained funding from the Safe Deposits Scotland Community Fund to hold a series of FREE Wellbeing Sessions on Friday mornings.
Our Friday Morning Wellbeing session this week will be "An Introduction to ACT (in six easy steps)", held by Elspeth from Pause to Be.
Come and discover six fun ACT skills which can help you to manage stress and life challenges more effectively, as well as finding more meaning and purpose in your everyday life.
ACT is a mindfulness-based training which we can learn in six fun practical exercises.
In this workshop, you’ll be guided through the six steps of:
Being present
Acceptance (willingness)
Taking a step back
Unhooking from thoughts
Discovering meaning
Taking meaningful action
All you’ll need for this workshop is yourself and a notebook and pen. .
This session is being held on Friday 30th August from 10-11.30am. The session will be an hour, followed by the chance to stay for a cuppa, biscuit and a chat. Click here to book in.

Meet your facilitator:
Pause to Be was established by Elspeth Lewis in 2019 to share the life-enhancing benefits of mindfulness with others.
Elspeth is a certified mindfulness teacher, sound practitioner and author, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She has trained in the mindfulness-based approach of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training) for adults and adolescents, as well as DNA-v (the youth model of ACT). Elspeth is also a parent to two teenagers, two cats and a lively golden retriever.
