Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath: Practising Gratitude

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 83 Broomhill Road Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 2AT United Kingdom (map)

Time to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new. This is the last session that will be held at A Place to Pause and Breathe in High Bonnybridge before the new premises open in the town centre.

This evening we will be offering gratitude for all the wonderful events that have taken place over the past year and a bit, the wonderful facilitators that have offered their services and the wonderful community that has grown up around the venue.

A gratitude practice resets our brains and emotions allowing us to focus on all that we have in our lives rather being in a state of always wanting more.

Join Morag and Susie for an cosy evening combining a Yoga Nidra meditation (no yoga postures involved) with a gentle sound bath. Susie and Morag run these events regularly allowing you to experience deep relaxation in a safe space.

Susie will start the evening with a deeply relaxing yoga nidra guided meditation ("yogic sleep"), preparing the way for a beautiful sound bath. There is nothing that you need to do - the invitation is to lie back and let the meditation wash over you.

After a very short break we will transition into a gentle, relaxing sound bath accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, gentle wind chimes, soothing Native American flutes and other magical sound healing instruments. Think nature sounds, water, bird song as we awaken from the depths of winter.

Both Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing practices embrace mindfulness - accepting what's going on in our bodies, mind and emotions without judgement - just being and going with the flow.

After the sound bath, there’s an invitation to stay for a hot drink and some cake – a chance to further unwind and relax.

Our session will be held on Friday 23rd August from 7 to 9 pm at The Place to Pause & Breathe. It’s a special discounted rate of £20 to attend, rather than the usual £25. If that feels too much just now, get in contact – we have a couple of donation spaces available. Click here to book in.
