Kimchi Community Cafe - Bonnybridge

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 18 High Street BONNYBRIDGE, FK4 1DA United Kingdom (map)

Fermented foods have so many health benefits - it's something that in the West we're just starting to realise. Our Kimchi Community cafe in July went so well that we're gathering again to make kimchi together, and find out more about the ways this can improve our health.

Come along and participate in a community style class to learn about the benefits of fermented food on the mind and body, and take part in making different types of kimchi. Each participant will take home two different types of kimchi to ferment at home. You can add in as much - or as little - spice as you like. Kimchi doesn't need to be super-hot, this is just the way many Koreans prefer it. Make it to suit your own taste buds.

This session is being held on Sunday 19th October from 2-4.30pm. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided.

It's £25 to come along, with concessionary and reduced rate spaces available. Please choose the one that best suits your circumstances. Click here to book in.

Kirsti is a nurse and former Midwife who has an interest in the gut mind biome. She has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia since 2010 and is always looking for ways to ease her symptoms using non medical methods. Fermented food not only tastes great but helps heal the gut barrier and has been a regular part of her life now for a few years.
